Crystal Palace may be ready to fire Roy Hodgson and bring in a new manager.

The veteran was expected to see out one last season with the London club before retiring.

However, Hodgson may find himself losing his post with Palace near the relegation zone.

Per The Mail, Palace believe they are clear to appoint Steve Cooper after his Nottingham Forest sacking.

They believe that it would not be necessary for them to pay compensation to Forest.

Cooper is also a surprise target for Birmingham City, who want to sign him to replace Wayne Rooney.
