Crystal Palace forward Connor Wickham has declared himself fit to return at the weekend against Liverpool on Sunday.

The 22 year old has been out for over two months with a calf injury but he played an hour for Palace's Under-21 side yesterday and says he is ready to return at Anfield.

"I am back playing now because I am fit.

"I am injury-free, touch wood, so hopefully the sooner the better. It is good for me to be back out on the pitch and playing again. I am not as sharp and as fit as I will be in a few weeks but it is all a work in progress and I am just happy to be fit."
