Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is hoping to convince key playmaker Stephane Sessegnon that his future lies on Wearside.
The Benin star, 27, was signed by ex-boss Steve Bruce for £6m from Paris St-Germain only a year ago but is unsettled with his family still living in France.
O'Neill said: "I'll speak to Sessegnon. He has great ability and I'd love him to settle here."
