O'Neil asked to take charge of Bournemouth 'until further notice'

Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil admits he has not had much time to digest his taking over as interim head coach at the club.

The Premier League outfit sacked head coach Scott Parker after they lost 9-0 to Liverpool.

Parker was extremely downbeat about the team after that game, saying there would be many more such humblings given the lack of quality in his squad.

O'Neil managed to earn a draw after a 0-0 draw against Wolves on Wednesday.

Asked about the situation post-game, O'Neil said: "It moved pretty quick. I haven't really had time to breathe and assess where we are.

"But from what I asked the boys to do this evening, they produced in commitment, bravery, togetherness in a tough moment.

"So proud of what they produced on that front. Of course we look to improve certain bits of it, but as a starting point from where we've been in the last few weeks, it's a real positive for us."
