Santiago Castano has declined a call-up to the USA U20 team in order to play for the Colombia U20 side.
The 19-year old New York Red Bulls goalkeeper was called up by Tab Ramos for his U20 squad's final foreign training camp ahead of next year's CONCACAF U20 Championship but has opted out.
A US Soccer official confirmed to MLSsoccer.com on Monday that the talented Castano, who was born in New York but is eligible to represent Colombia, will link up with the U20s Los Cafeteros side.
Castano, a Red Bulls Homegrown Player, made four appearances for the USA U20 side in 2014 after coming through youth level camps from U14 to U18.
