The striker, who spent six-and-a-half seasons playing for the Reds, will become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the month.

Following this, Sturridge has been linked with a host of clubs including Aston Villa, Leicester City, Celtic and Rangers as well as some MLS clubs, says the Liverpool Echo.

And with the 29-year-old currently holidaying in America, the odds on a move to the states have been significantly slashed.

This follows the forward's latest Instagram post in which he shared a video from a New York City skyscraper with the caption: "NYC meeting vibes."

The comments immediately sparked rumours linking Sturridg with New York Red Bulls and New York City FC.

JDD says Henry is currently holidaying in the US and has an offer from the MLS and two from Europe.

No names have been mentioned, though Henry has been linked with former club New York Red Bulls and Real Betis.

It's suggested despite lasting barely three months as AS Monaco coach, Henry is determined to jump back into the game this summer.

The Frenchman will seek a club with a reputation for stability after last season's setback with ASM.

Arsenal legend Henry has been mentioned as a candidate for the NYRB job, with French media speculation suggesting an agreement is close.

However, Hamlett has shut down the reports.

"The latest reports that Thierry Henry will come to the New York Red Bulls are fake," he said.

Henry spent the latter stages of his playing career in MLS with NYRB.

The Frenchman lasted three months in charge of AS Monaco earlier this season.

Henry lasted only three months at AS Monaco this season before being sacked and is now being linked with a return to his former MLS team.

Wenger insisted: "For me, it's too soon to say that he's a failure.

"He will bounce elsewhere. He will make the small path that Patrick (Vieira) has made."

Vieira coached at New York City FC for two seasons before landing the Nice job.

The Mirror says just three months after his nightmare stint at Monaco, the former France international is set for another crack at being a head coach, in MLS.

The Red Bulls have endured a dismal start to the season under head coach Chris Armas, with Saturday's 1-0 loss to New England Revolution seemingly the final straw for the club's management.

Red Bull head of global soccer Oliver Mintzlaff is ready to pull the trigger and offer the 41-year-old a return to coaching in America with his former club.

The Arsenal legend was sacked by Monaco after a nightmare four months in charge of the French side.

The Daily Mail says Henry was sacked by Monaco in January after a nightmare season which saw them fighting relegation at the time of his dismisal.

He lasted just three months at Monaco and won only four games out of 20 in all competitions - but his former club New York Red Bulls could be set to give him a chance to make amends.

The MLS side are keen on bring Henry back to the club where he spent four years as a player before retiring in 2014.

New York Red Bulls reached the MLS play-offs last season but are struggling under head coach Chris Armas this campaign.

39-year-old Cahill - who also played in USA, China and Australia - is currently with Indian Super League side Jamshedpur, but his contract expires at the end of the month.

Asked if he would continue playing when the deal runs out, the Socceroos legend told Optus Sport: "No, I'm an old man now in football years.

"I'd love to keep playing, you know, 39, had a great stint for six months in India.

"But I'm interested in TV, going to start my A Licence, and spending quality time with my family and chilling out for a bit.

"It was amazing to play in four big continents. I had a great career and I'm really thankful.

"I'm someone that massively respects the game and I'll take my time to learn more.

"Coaching is something that's definitely going to be on the horizon."

Fuchs has already announced that he will leave City at the end of his contract next summer and move to New York, where his family live.

"I have one more year now in England and I've always said very openly that I want to move over here (to the United States)," Fuchs told Goal.

"I want to be part of the community. I want to play football over here. I'm not coming over as an old player looking for his last contract. I want to come over here and play as long as possible.

I'm 32 now. I don't want to come here when I'm 36 or 37.

"I feel really good. I've got a lot of years of playing left and when the time is right I'm ready to come play here (in the United States)."

The left back, who arrived from Schalke in 2015, was a part of the Leicester squad that won the Premier League during the 2015-2016 season.

He is hoping to clinch a move to the MLS when his contract is up, since his family is based in New York City.

Fuchs said to Sky Sports: "I promised my wife I would be coming home. I also want to see my children growing up, it's good we have Facetime because letters wouldn't work.

"It was already a big decision extending my contract one more year but it was a good thing for the family. I've enjoyed my time in Leicester, I've had the biggest success here and I love the club.

"It's never going to be the case I'm completely done; I love the club, the city and appreciate the people. Maybe I want to build a bit of my own legacy here."
