Nottingham Forest boss Cooper: Nothing good from Everton defeat

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper admits there's nothing good to draw from defeat at home to Everton.

Cooper says there's no need to dwell on the setback.

He said: "It's not the first time since we've been in the Premier League that we've had to answer questions like that. I think it was five or six games in last season that those sort of things were coming at me and numerous things after that so it's not a new experience for me.

"If that's the case I'll deal with it exactly the way I did the times before and that's just to focus even more on the things you're in control of, your day to day work, working with the players, working with the staff and trying to do the best job possible and get the results we all want.

"So no change in approach with regard to the result. Of course it was a disappointing result and we're not going to hide away from it.

"It's the third one and two back-to-back at home, there's nothing good about that, but we have to face up to it, roll our sleeves up again. It's not a new experience because we had some similar feelings like this last season and we know what it took to put it right.

"In terms of getting a result we owe the supporters but we owe ourselves as well. We're losing by the odd goal and in those games we could have and should have got better results. The main factor is what we've done and they're the bits were really focusing on putting right."

On their next opponents Fulham, he added: "They've shown their worth since coming back up and you see a very consistent team selection.

"A little bit opposite to us in terms of how they have been able to keep going from their promotion but that's fine, we're all different.

"We really need to do our bit better because that's what has cost us the poor results in the past few weeks and we need to own that."
