Norwich City captain Grant Holt insists he's not thinking about England selection.

Holt, who has now delivered goals at every level of the game, was asked whether he feels ready to step up to the international stage with a potential England call-up for the European Championship.

And he told Sky Sports: "I don't think it's the next level. I don't think there is any better level than the Premier League.

"Week in, week out, we're playing the best teams and against centre-halves who play for their country and I've done it this year and I'm ready for the opportunity.

"If it comes - then great, if it doesn't - then I'll bite my lip and keep what I'm doing and see what happens next year.

"We'll see what happens next week. He (Hodgson) will pick the players and he will pick who he wants to and if I'm in the squad then great, but if I'm not then good luck to the lads who are in there."
