Norwich City players are taking nothing for granted after their impressive first-half of the season.
The shadow of Blackpool's demise last term looms large over Carrow Road.
"It showed how much things can turn around," admitted goalkeeper John Ruddy. "If you haven't got the mentality and you get ahead of yourselves then you're going to stumble.
"We're fortunate enough to have the belief in this squad that we won't get ahead of ourselves.
"Everybody talks about the 40-point mark. We're only 12 points off that now and four wins from 17 games will do the job. 'We're confident that if we keep playing like this we'll get to that mark sooner rather than later.
"I think we've got enough in the squad to stay up if we don't manage to bring anyone in."
