Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul admits he let standards slip in his final years at Newcastle United.

Krul left Brighton for Norwich last summer, where he is rebuilding his career at Carrow Road.

He told AD, "Maybe I felt a bit too comfortable at Newcastle. I lost the real hunger that I now have again in the last couple of years.

"I am fresher and better than ever. I am grateful that I've played 33 games this season. At Newcastle I lived more in a daze, although I have experienced gigantic beautiful things.

"I cannot wait to show people that things are right with me (again)."
