Norwich City captain Russell Martin insists sacked manager Chris Hughton never lost the players.
Having won just one game from their last six Hughton has been replaced by Neil Adams having lost the support of the fans following the loss, with the backing of the boardroom also waning after another disappointing display.
But Martin insists the players were fully behind Hughton and his backroom staff until the last moment.
"I don't know what that means, losing the dressing room," he said.
"No. We didn't stop playing for him. The boys have tried and given everything for him but it has not been good enough for a while."
