North Queensland chairman Matheson welcomes Gold Coast co-operation

North Queensland Fury chairman has welcomed the co-operation shown by Gold Coast United ahead of their pre-season match tomorrow night.

Throughout the off-season, there has been tension between the two clubs but it seems United have out their differences behind them and have extended their hand to assist the Fury in their trip to Skilled Park.

"We are looking forward to it. To be fair, they (Gold Coast) see the value in getting along and they have gone out of their way in trying to help," Matheson said.

"We've got a great deal on accommodation and they are laying on buses for us to get around.

"They have been very, very hospitable. There will be a derby rivalry but it's good to co-operate."

Gold Coast United host North Queensland Fury on Tuesday July 23 at Skilled Park with just 5,000 tickets available to the public.
