Former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has been named new general manager of Ümraniyespor.

Second Division Ümraniyespor have announced the Frenchman as their new 'general administrator'.

For Anelka it is a return to Turkey, after playing for a period in Fenerbahçe, between 2005 and 2006 (56 games and 16 goals).

Anelka has also had experience as a coach with Lille's academy and as sporting director with Hyères.
