Former Leicester City star Kasper Schmeichel has been discussed as a Chelsea signing.

The former Premier League title winner could be the club's no.2 shot stopper this season.

Schmeichel could play understudy to Robert Sanchez, given Kepa Arrizabalaga has gone on loan to Real Madrid.

Per The Mail, Schmeichel is eager to leave Nice in France, but only for a top club.

Chelsea will be a very appealing project, even if they are not in Europe this season.

Schmeichel would also be a lot happier living back in England, as he has not settled in France.
