Former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Paddy Kenny says Newcastle United must be careful over their interest in Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks.
Winks is under contract at White Hart Lane until 2024, but has started just one Premier League game this season.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Winks admitted he “loves Tottenham" but that he “wants to play regular football".
Kenny told Football Insider: "If they are going to get top dollar from anyone, then it would be Newcastle.
“They will be really worried about being held to ransom, I'm sure about that. But Spurs won't care, they'll be happy to do that.
“He is one of those players who haven't played regularly recently. But when he's on form, he's an unbelievable player.
“But I don't think he is going to get that game time at Tottenham. Would Newcastle be the right place for him to go? I think so."
