Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong remains Newcastle United's top transfer target in January, Sky Sports is reporting. Sky Sports revealed Newcastle's interest in landing the Dutch international on loan, and the two clubs have held talks.
The main obstacle is whether cover is brought in by to let him go, but Newcastle do expect the deal to happen.
