Newcastle United are eyeing Atalanta midfielder Ederson for the January market.

TMW says Newcastle are watching the Brazilian as they seek cover for the suspended Sandro Tonali.

Ederson struck in yesterday's draw with Udinese to add to his growing reputation.

For their part, La Dea have no immediate plans to lose Ederson midseason and slapped a €40m price-tag on him last summer.

However, a sale cannot be entirely ruled out should an offer in the class of Manchester United's bid for Rasmus Hojlund arrives.
