Davide Santon admits Mario Balotelli is unsure of what he wants to do in the future.

The Newcastle United left-back knows the Manchester City striker very well from their time together at Inter Milan but he says that his fellow Italian is not yet completely sure of what his career will hold for him, especially after City boss Roberto Mancini was critical after revealing that Balotelli enjoys having a smoke every now and then.

"We often speak and sometimes we meet," Santon told Sky Sport Italia. "He doesn't have a proper smoking habit, he is just a quiet boy who wants to have fun.

"I do not know what he wants to do in the future because sometimes he says he wants to return to Italy and sometimes he says he wants to stay a long time with City."
