Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal was left to rue his side's misfortune following the 3-3 draw with Newcastle United at St. James' Park on Tuesday night.
The Dutchman claimed that United were unlucky to give away the penalty to Aleksandar Mitrovic for Newcastle's second goal and were also out of luck when conceding the third goal to Paul Dummett in the 90th minute.
Following the game, he said: "We were unlucky, when you see the penalty for the second goal and when you see the third goal.
"When the ball is going where he [Dummett] shot then it is in the hands of (David) De Gea. It clipped off (Chris) Smalling and that took it past. It was unlucky.
"Before that we were running behind and you have to push forward, you have to push the ball under pressure and we didn't do that. Then you get these kinds of things."
