Newcastle United are interested in Sevilla defender Diego Carlos.

Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira is reporting talks have commenced betweem the two clubs over the Brazil international.

Newcastle are offering the 28-year-old stopper a four-year contract.

Sevilla are seeking over €40m to sell Carlos, who has managed 26 games for his club already this season.
