Newcastle and Leeds have been encouraged in their pursuit of Olympique Marseille striker Bamba Dieng.

Dieng was once again left out of the Ligue 1 side's squad for their game against Nantes on Saturday evening.

The Irish Daily Star reported earlier this week that Leeds are chasing Dieng, with Fulham cooling their interest in the Senegalese forward.

Newcastle have also been linked with a move for Dieng.

The 22-year-old has been left out of every Marseille squad so far this season, with the forward looking set to move on.
