Newcastle United have placed Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley on their wanted list.

The Magpies are attempting to secure big money signings in January as they ensure their survival in the Premier League.

Barkley, who spent the 2020-2021 season on loan at Aston Villa, scored three goals in 24 games last term.

According to 90Min, Barkley is a key target for Newcastle in January.

Barkley is the sort of player with Premier League experience that would instantly improve Newcastle.

The Englishman would be eager to join, as he is out of favour with Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel at present.
