Newcastle United hero Rob Lee says Miguel Almiron needs to do better in possession.

Almiron hasn't scored in 14 Premier League matches for the club thus far and also failed to register an assist.

"Almiron must start creating chances because he has been here long enough now. He runs around and he is very enthusiastic but we need an end product from him," Lee, who was speaking on behalf of GentingBet, told the Chronicle.

"Once we get that, it will certainly help Joelinton for instance to find the back of the net and get the goals that will allow us to win enough matches.

"I love his (Almiron's) enthusiasm, he runs around like a schoolboy but for £20million we need end product.

"He needs to maybe slow down a bit and score a few goals. He hasn't scored or assisted a goal since arriving at the club. I expect more now because he's had his time to adjust. It's maybe a bit harsh but that's my view."
