Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier suggests that ex-teammate Dele Alli's fall from grace may have to do with a managerial appointment.
Trippier believe that Alli played his best football at Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino.
He subsequently struggled to replicate that quality under Jose Mourinho, Nuno Santo, and Antonio Conte.
Alli is currently in Turkey with Besiktas, after a move to Everton in January also failed.
"Poch was brilliant with Dele to be fair and Dele was flying at Tottenham," said Trippier to Under the Cosh.
"It's one of those where I left and went to Atletico Madrid and he was there for two years after.
“But even my last season there he was flying, he's a great lad, but Poch was brilliant with him."
