Newcastle United fullback Danny Simpson is fielding interest ahead of the summer market.

The Evening Chronicle says Simpson looks set to leave St James' Park at the end of the campaign with his current deal about to run down.

Yet, despite talk of no interest in Simpson, it is believed there have been enquiries to the player's representatives from both the Premier League and Europe about his services.
