Newcastle United are favourites to land Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey has been linked with Newcastle United and Everton in recent weeks and it seems that the Welsh midfielder is poised to get his transfer.

Newcastle are desperate for reinforcements now the mid-season window is open, with Eddie Howe needing players to help his side avoid relegation.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Ramsey will only return to Juve's training ground after the winter break on Monday to say goodbye to his team-mates.

That's because the 31-year-old has been in 'close contact' with other clubs recently.

Ramsey is desperate to move on from Juve, where he has had a difficult time since signing on a free transfer from Arsenal in the summer of 2019.
