Newcastle United director of football Joe Kinnear says Fabricio Coloccini will stay.

The Argentina defender returned late, last season after attempting to return home to San Lorenzo in January.

"I have spoken with Fabricio Coloccini and I am confident he is staying and Steven Taylor - well, he is a rock," Kinnear told the Sunday Mirror.

"We just need to bring in more talent."
