Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles outlined his thoughts on his side's 2-2 draw with West Ham United.
The centre back offered dressing room insight into the contest, during which the Magpies dominated possession.
Post-game, Lascelles told reporters: "I felt like we had quite a lot of control in the game, especially second half.
"Then to concede is very disappointing. We have had a good couple of weeks and perhaps the break comes at a good time, to refresh and get some players back fit and go strong again.
"Mentally to go from the highs of PSG the other night and quickly turn around could have taken its toll. Especially the first half from like individual performances but second half we came out and should have seen the game out."
