Newcastle burn off Chelsea, Arsenal for three top kids

Premier League giants Newcastle United have bolstered their academy ranks this week.

The Magpies are working hard to improve the quality of their youth setup under Dan Ashworth.

The club's sporting director wants to ensure the team saves money in the long-term with young signings.

They have snapped up Michael Mills, a 14-year-old winger, from Port Vale this week.

Another who has arrived is Sam Alabi from Oldham, with both set to play for the club's under-15 or under-16 squad.

A third deal involves 16-year-old Kacey Wooster from Southend United, who was also wanted by Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
