Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has reaffirmed hopes of keeping Fabricio Coloccini.

Pards hopes his captain stays.

He said: "He's very important to us. When he's played, our ratio of wins is much higher than when he doesn't.

"It's a personal decision more than a business decision. We'll try to persuade him to stay at least one more year."
