Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe admits he isn't interested in sending Lewis Miley out on loan.
The 17-year-old has been a part of the club's preseason tour of the United States.
He was impressive in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in Atlanta on Wednesday, but is being linked with a temporary exit to an EFL club.
Speaking to reporters, Howe said: “The plan has been consistent in my mind.
“He will stay with us this season. There's no thought of sending him on loan.
“For me he's too young to be exposed to that at the moment.
“I think he needs to stay with his family and to train with us and to learn and develop around the players we have."
