Newcastle boss Bruce has no doubts about Joelinton

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has no doubts about the quality of striker Joelinton.

As well as scoring the only goal of the game against Tottenham, the 23-year-old impressed against Watford.

"I thought he was excellent against Watford. I thought he was a real threat. I thought the goal you could see that little bit of confidence which has bloom into him since he scored against Spurs," Bruce told the Evening Chronicle.

"From the disappointment [against Norwich], that's a striker. That's what you've got to learn to deal with it as he gets more mature. He's only 23 so he's got a lot ahead of him but the goal will certainly have done him the world of good.

"I'm convinced he's going to do very, very well. Of course, he's got to adapt to England. Muto has had to adapt to England over the last year. Almiron has only been here eight months and still, for me, is adapting to the Premier League.

"Hopefully, there's a big improvement in them all and that's why I'm quietly confident that they can get us the goals that we require to take us forward."
