Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is eyeing a move to France.

L'Equipe says the Spaniard is interested in making a switch to Ligue 1 and has signed up with 'Score Agencies' to represent him in France.

Benitez reportedly held a meeting in Manchester on February 27 with the agency, accompanied by his lawyer Richard Green, and signed a contract with the firm until September 1.

Newcastle are desperate to keep hold of Benitez and as such have offered him a two-year contract to stay on Tyneside.

Lyon and Marseille would be two likely destinations for Benitez.
