Newcastle boss Benitez plans raid of former club Liverpool for striker duo

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is hoping that he can raid former club Liverpool for two attacking players in January.

Benitez has his eyes on Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi.

The Newcastle Chronicle suggests that both attackers could be available as they are not part of Liverpool's matchday squads this season.

And they fit the bill as players Newcastle could get on loan, which is necessary given the Magpies' limited budget.

The issue is that Newcastle already have Kenedy and Salomon Rondon on loan. The Premier League regulations mean Newcastle would have to make the deals for Solanke or Origi permanent.
