Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali was delighted being part of their stunning Champions League win against PSG.

The Toon steamrolled the visitors 4-1 on Wednesday night.

Tonali later told Sky Italia: "It was nice because we started exactly how we wanted and how we had prepared it. We had the opportunity to end the first half 2-0 and that gave us energy. Then after the break we immediately found the 3-0 lead. It was nice to experience an evening like that in this stadium."

Do you already feel like the leader of this team?

"It was a match where we had to communicate a lot, details make the difference. In this match it was necessary, we all feel like leaders, everyone is 100% involved."

Did you send a photo to your former Milan teammates to show the table?

"I'm not sending it because I didn't see tonight's match but only the result. We'll take stock in December, we have to be proud of this match. Now we have to think about the championship, today's match can give us a lot but also take away."
