MLS club New York Red Bulls have admitted a move for former England international Sol Campbell is highly unlikely.

The former Tottenham, Arsenal and Portsmouth defender, who walked away from League Two club Notts County after just one game last week, had been linked with a potential move to the US but New York have distanced themselves from him.

The 34-year old has also been linked with incoming expansion franchise Philadelphia Union and David Beckham's LA Galaxy but it is very unlikely he will be playing in New York in 2010 according to sources.
