New Napoli coach Francesco Calzona says the players will be ready for Barcelona tonight.
Calzona was named Napoli coach on Tuesday and will take charge tonight in the Champions League round 16 first-leg against Barcelona.
He said, "I'm happy, I arrived and my adrenaline rose. The debut is important, against a strong opponent. However, all this doesn't scare me because Napoli is a strong team. They just need to rediscover some concepts, but they are strong. This makes me happy.
"I wasn't talking about methodologies but only about conviction. I said that they are a strong team because I believe in it. They demonstrated it last year and at times this year too. They did well in the Champions League, playing an excellent group and winning the championship by a landslide. I am totally convinced of all this."
Asked if he'd sign for a draw, Calzona also said: "Absolutely not, we are Napoli. This is a strong team, we play at home. I absolutely won't accept a draw before playing the match, if Barcelona are so good at forcing us to equalise, hats off to them. But we want to play to win."
