Napoli striker Giovanni Simeone explained his emotional goal celebration after their Champions League win against Liverpool.

Simeone scored his first Champions League goal on his debut and celebrated by kissing a Champions League tattoo while in tears, fulfilling one of his childhood dreams.

Simeone later explained: “I was 14, my dream has always been to play in the Champions League, 12 years later, I am here, I got this tattoo because I dreamed of being here, scoring and kissing this ball.

"It was moving. I've always dreamed about this moment, there aren't many things to say.

"I've fought hard to be here and here I am."
