Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is keen to tempt Tottenham winger Erik Lamela back to Italy.
The former AS Roma star is in second season at White Hart Lane and while happier under new manager Mauricio Pochettino, is still struggling for consistent form.
Sky Italia says Lamela is top of De Laurentiis' January shopping list, which also includes Standard Liege attacker Paul-Jose Mpoku.
For his part, Lamela only this week insisted he was determined to make it at Spurs.
"I could've returned to Italy on two occasions in January and in the summer. It was discussed a lot, but I talked about it with my family and my girlfriend and we were all convinced that once I recovered from my injury, my time in England would come.
"I never wanted to give up this challenge."
