Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti was delighted with his players for their 4-0 rout of Monza.

The win followed last week's opener against Hellas Verona, which saw Napoli win 5-2.

Spalletti said: “The team put in a very good performance, maintained the balance and took control of the match from the first moment.

“We didn't make the most of all our chances, but we were up against a tough Monza side who know what they want to do. It was not as easy as it looked."

Kvicha Kvaratskhelia scored twice in the victory.

“He is a player with real quality, a fine professional and a good lad. He has this way of taking opponents on and knows where the goal is, can shoot with his right foot or his left. But he's still getting loosened up.

“He still feels too much pressure in this new club. He knows that he needs to entertain a demanding public like the Napoli fans. These goals will help take some of that pressure off him."
