Napoli coach Rino Gattuso proud of players after Barcelona draw

Napoli coach Rino Gattuso was proud of his players after their 1-1 draw with Barcelona.

Dries Mertens' opener was canceled out by Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann's equaliser in the first-leg of this Champions League round 16 tie.

Gattuso said at the final whistle: "You can't see anything wrong with them, you know.

"We were good. We could have done better on some attacks, but we did what that we had to. We waited for them, they created few opportunities. I am a little disappointed for the construction phase, we could have done better.

"But when you go to close down like this, playing on the 25-30 metres, a little tiredness takes over."

He continued: "Since (Quique) Setien arrived, Barcelona has been a team that brings six players to the offensive area, it is not a team that just dribbles.

"Instead they tickled us today, they didn't shoot at the goal. We could have won on such a day. But it went badly on one episode and we paid dearly for it."

Gattuso also revealed an invite from the Barca coach.

"I have a home in Spain, when we go on vacation we will meet and drink a nice glass of wine together. I will listen to him willingly."
