Napoli coach Garcia frustrated with Union Berlin draw: We should've attacked better

Napoli coach Rudi Garcia was left frustrated after their 1-1 draw with Champions League opponents Union Berlin.

Napoli had the lead through Matteo Politano before David Datro Fofana's equaliser.

“The goal we conceded ruined everything. We deserved to win this evening and we played well, we just should've attacked better and not conceded on the counter from our own corner kick," Garcia told Sky Italia.

“That was the only negative thing from the match. Usually there are three of us kept back there, but when we are winning, there are four. Perhaps by taking the corner so quickly, we did not have time to get back into position. It will serve as a lesson for the next games.

“I don't know, perhaps you should ask the captain, as he was on the pitch. We tried in every way to score the second goal, but I have nothing to reproach my lads for other than the goal we conceded.

“When you are able to double your lead, it all becomes easier. We should've avoided conceding that goal, especially at home. We are working on it, but it is a matter of balance and reasoning. We will find solutions, but tonight this distraction was very costly."
