Napoli are set to enter the race for Nicolo Barella.

The 21-year-old Italian midfielder is a major target for Manchester United and Chelsea.

The two English clubs have been linked with him numerous times in the past few months.

But Sky Italia reports that Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli are interested in the player as well.

It is unclear if Cagliari would prefer to sell the player abroad or within Italy.

And Barella may think a move to Napoli may be better for his development.

He is seen as a replacement for Marek Hamsik in Naples, who has departed for the Chinese Super League.
