Fabrice Muamba is convinced Bolton Wanderers can finish in the top ten this season.

"This year we know what we want to do but it is in-house, hopefully we can surprise many people," Muamba told setantasports.com.

"But I'm sure top ten won't hurt anybody because this season is going to be very different from last season.

"A good team performance and if we do what we need to do, it will be great for us and I'm sure top ten would be a great ambition for us really."

Muamba added: "I'm very happy at Bolton, we have played three games so far and won one, drawn one and lost one. So far I am very happy and at the moment I am enjoying it.

"The gaffer has been very good since I have signed and he has been very helpful, and hopefully I can get more goals to my game and I'm sure I can improve as a player."
