West Ham boss David Moyes admits he considered signing Leicester City ace James Maddison.
Moyes looked at signing Maddison in his previous spell in charge in East London.
He admits the then-Norwich midfielder would have represented a gamble — but Leicester are reaping the rewards.
The Scot said: “I watched him. I have to say he has made incredible strides from the time he was there.
“I'm sure a lot of clubs were looking — but Leicester took him.
“I'm not sure he would have been someone I signed had I stayed. At the time, he was in a group of young players we were interested in.
“He was certainly a promising young talent at that time."
