Mason Mount is in line to make Chelsea's Carabao Cup final clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

The midfielder was forced off injured during the first half of Chelsea's victory over Palmerias in the Club World Cup final last week.

After watching Chelsea overcome the Brazilian side in extra-time, Mount returned to the pitch with heavy strapping on his right ankle to celebrate with his team-mates.

Chelsea were worried they would be without Mount of the upcoming final, but Goal have reported that the 23-year-old could return to the squad in time for the all-important fixture.

The England international is said to be taking part in Thomas Tuchel's squad training session later today and could be used on Sunday afternoon.
