Former Colombia defender Aquivaldo Mosquera believes Everton need to buy support for James Rodriguez.

Mosquera was reacting to James' below par performance in defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.

He said, “For me James has to always play, there is no player like him in Colombia, with that talent.

"I was hearing it was said that he played badly in the last game. They are different encounters when you face teams like Manchester United, everything becomes more complicated.

“Maybe he lacks a teammate at Everton, although for me he's shown his quality, not only now but always. For me, he has to always play."
