Monza chief Adriano Galliani has played down reports of a move for Sevilla winger Papu Gomez.

The veteran is available from Sevilla with reports of a return to Serie A for Monza in January, just two years after leaving Atalanta for Spain.

“No, Papu is a friend, but we never talked to him about that," Galliani told reporters after a Lega Serie A meeting.

There are also suggestions Alessio Cragno could leave Monza in January after failing to make a single appearance since the loan from Cagliari.

“I don't know, we're not talking about the transfer market right now."
