Montreal Impact's Bernier not fussed by Schallibaum suspensions

Montreal Impact midfielder Patrice Bernier says he and his teammates are not too bothered about the fact their head coach is often suspended.

Swiss tactician Marco Schallibaum has received touchline bans on four occasions this season but it doesn't seem to negatively affect the Impact players especially if the weekend's 5-0 home win over the Houston Dynamo is anything to go by.

"You never get used to that, but we were able to deal with it," Bernier old the Canadian Press. "It was our first victory with (assistant coach) Mauro Biello at the helm.

"It's proof that the group is strong. The coach is there during the week, so it doesn't change the preparation. It was a nice way to answer - that we're able to perform without the coach being there. And also to show the league that it doesn't affect us to much if you knock a person out of our club."

The Impact currently sit on top of the Eastern Conference table which has them second overall in MLS standings.
