Sevilla coach Vincenzo Montella has sought "forgiveness" from fans after their 5-1 thrashing at Eibar.
Montella admits Eibar were superior in every way on Saturday.
He said: “We started poorly and we were inferior to our opponents physically and mentally. We were hampered by not having much rest [after the Copa semi-finals] and because of the all the changes we made, which were necessary. The players gave it everything."
Asked for a message to the fans, Montella added: “That we are very disappointed by today's game.
"Above all I would like to apologise to all the fans and I hope that on Wednesday they will help us to the reach the [Copa del Rey] final."
